Absolute Angus expects to build on the success of its’ 2021 autumn sale this year with standout sons of a home-grown bull and other notable progeny in its 2022 offering.The sale on Thursday April 7, 2022, will feature the sons of Landfall New Ground N90 – fast gaining the reputation of being Australia’s number one Angus bull, Landfall Keystone K132, Baldridge Command and Sitz Stellar.

Absolute Angus’s belief in offering commercial breeders the opportunity to buy the best available quality Angus genetics continues to drive the studs breeding program with the operation expanding its female herd to 500 for the first time along with presenting one of the stud’s best line-up of bulls to sell at its second annual Autumn Bull Sale on April 7.

ABSOLUTE Angus hit a new record high of $14,000 and stud-first average of $7488 for 48 bulls offered at its third annual spring sale last Friday.At the fall of the hammer, 41 bulls were sold with the 27 rising two-year-old bulls averaging $7407, with Lot 7, Absolute Qual Q490, the sale topper at $14,000.The yearling bulls were in hot demand with 14 selling for an impressive average of $7643 and topping their group at $11,000.

With a wet winter season at the Absolute Angus’s West Gippsland property, the stud will take advantage of an extra month of spring weather and conduct its 3rd annual spring sale on October 15.Stud principal Anthony Pisa said the sale bulls are looking great even with the wetter than usual winter and the extra few weeks meant the bulls will present at their best on sale day.

Debuting this autumn is Absolute Angus’s first autumn bull sale set to showcase the success of the stud’s breeding program.  “It’s an exciting time to showcase our bulls in such a positive way” said Anthony Pisa, stud principal.Going under the hammer at the Trafalgar South property on Wednesday 7 April are about 45, 18-month-old bulls by using genetics from some of the best sires in the industry; Sydgen Enhance, Baldridge Command, LD Capitalist and Ardrossan Edmund K1651.

Gippsland’s Absolute Angus expects its second annual sale to top its successful 2019 debut, with a strong offer unfazed by the wettest conditions in decades and COVID-19.The Thorpdale farmer said the region had experienced one of its wettest seasons in memory but that hadn’t impacted on quality.

It was the first sale for the Trafalgar stud which sold 32 of 38 bulls, with four passed in, to record a top price of $8100 and an average of $3460.
