Absolute Angus expands with new Echuca property

June 16, 2022

Building Absolute Angus into one of Australia’s premium black Angus studs over the last decade, principal Anthony Pisa said the time was right to expand the stud’s existing operations further north.

Prompted by the stud’s dramatic growth at its’ two annual bull sales over the past few years & increasing interest in the stud’s breed-leading genetics Mr Pisa said the recent purchase of a separate 400+ acre grazing & breeding property in a prime location near Echuca in Northern Victoria was a great asset to the future of the Absolute Angus brand.

The new Echuca acreage sits on the north side of Victoria’s Great Dividing Range & near the flood plains of the great Murray River.  The sandy loam soils at the Echuca property are irrigated to maintain pasture levels, allowing grazing controls not possible on the Gippsland paddocks where the original Absolute Angus stud farm is located.

Combined with the Trafalgar South & Thorpdale property with their highly fertile soils & consistent good rainfall, the Echuca property has the added benefit of greater sunshine adding a range of benefits to breeding & grazing high quality Angus cattle across both properties.

Mr Pisa said he is looking forward to showcasing cattle from the both the Echuca & Trafalgar South properties in the near future.
